When is it okay to pirate software, if ever?

Yes, i think that at times theres no other alternative to pirating software. I have pirated some oftware before but it was because i needed a given program but was not willing to pay some of the high prices for them, bieng only 16 years old.


Is the author correct? Does piracy encourage people to BUY things?

Welll yes, sometimes pirated software isint the real program and may sometimes have flaws, and when someones likes a program and dosent want to deal with the flaws or restrictions of pirated software.


What should movie companies do to stop piracy (if anything)?

I dont think they should do anything to stop pirating, or well, atleast until the problem becomes a bigger issue. Now a days, people flood the movie theatres and companies like Netflix are booming, showing that people still legitamately go to movies and arent pirating software. Just a couple of weeks ago Spiderman 3 broke records, clearly showing that people are watching movies, and that the pirating issue is not as big a problem as its blown up to be.
